Christmas Tree Lane

Last night we drove Christmas Tree Lane, a Fresno tradition for over forty years. We picked up dinner after I returned from my workshop at Fansler Leadership Institute at Fresno State. Then we got in line on Shields to turn on Van Ness and drive the lane. Christmas tree lane continues from Sheilds to Shaw. We turned the radio to Christmas Tree Lane radio - 100.7 FM, and listened to carols and the Chipmunks for over an hours while driving under a canopy of Christmas lights and past elaborate displays. Alice and Jack hung out of the car window - looking for reindeer and talking with their Chistmas tree land buddies, other little kids hanging out windows and up through sun roofs. It was a blast! Nathaniel loved it, especially when it began to rain.
